LETTER FROM PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students:

Congratulations to our own Mrs. Julie Lima Boyle.  She was named the 2012 Rhode Island Teacher of the Year on November 30, 2011 in front of every student and teacher at Coventry High.  This is the second year in a row that a Coventry High graduate has been named the Rhode Island Teacher of the Year (Boyle, Class of 1990 and Shannon Donovan 2011 RI Teacher of the Year--Class of 1991).  Needless to say, this is a great honor for Mrs. Boyle and the high school.  We wish her well as she completes against 49 other state winners for the National title!

Second quarter is well underway.  Please remember that if you have any questions or concerns about your child's coursework, please contact his/her teacher.  The teachers should be able to share information and support to help your child do his/her best.  Another great resource is our guidance department.  Please keep them in the loop of important information.

We are beginning a series of workshops for our students on bullying and substance abuse.  We are meeting with each class and discussing these important issues.
