Timothy Booker

Matthew Brissette

Mr. Brissette is a graduate of Rhode Island College and received his MA with a concentration in history from Providence College. He is a National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certified teacher,National History Day Scholar, EEP Rhode Island College certified instructor, and College Board approved Advanced Placement instructor. Mr. Brissette is also a Rhode Island National History Day Judge. He has been honored with the Student Council 1992 and 2005 Service to Youth Award. He is currently Class Advisor to the Class of 2010 and Yearbook Business Advisor. He hopes to become a College Board United States reader and instructor. He is currently working on a history of Coventry High School.

Peter Corr

Peter Corr is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, class of 1999, For the past seven years he has taught Advanced Placement Psychology, General Psychology and American History.

Theresa Drumm

Theresa Drumm teaches several sections of 9th graders for America & The World 1. She is a graduate of Rhode Island College in Secondary Education, and is “highly qualified” in History.

Kelly Erinakes

Mrs. Erinakes is a National Board Certified Teacher, President of the Coventry Teachers' Alliance, and for this school year and next, she will serve as the High School Professional Development Coordinator. She has a BA from Rhode Island College and a MS from Walden University.

Robert Feinberg

Mr. Feinberg is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with degrees in History and German. He has a attained a Masters of Arts (History) from Providence College. He enters his 23rd year of teaching.

Erica Horlbogen

Ms. Horlbogen began teaching in 1999. She received her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan College where she was also a member of the women's track and field team, the captain in her senior year, and she earned All Conference Honors in 1996 & 1997. Ms. Horlbogen received her Masters of Library Information Science from URI. While at URI she received the Maurice Tougas Award for excellence as a Library Media Student. Ms. Horlbogen is the head coach of the CHS Girl's Outdoor Track and Field Team. She has coached numerous All State , New England and All American athletes. She is the Director of the Girls Outdoor Track and Field for the Rhode Island Track Coaches Association. She is a member of the CHS Pep Committee, a former Media Specialist at Alan Shawn Fienstein Middle School, a judge for Rhode Island History Day and has also been featured in Who's Who of American Teachers. This year, Ms. Horlbogen teaches primarily 9th grade America and the World I and truly enjoys working with ninth grade students as they transition to the high school.

Lisa Johansen

Mrs. Johansen is a graduate of Rhode Island College and received her Master of Arts (history) from Providence College. She is a College Board trained Advanced Placement United States History Teacher and co-author of the Advanced Placement History curriculum. She is a statewide National History Day judge. Her students have placed in the top ten in the nation for National History Day. She is currently Interact Club Advisor, Yearbook Advisor and a recipient of the 2008 Student Council Service to Youth Award. Mrs. Johansen was the high school's 2009 Teacher of the Year Selection.

Alison Kasbarian

Mrs. Kasbarian graduated summa cum laude from Rhode Island College where she majored in History and Secondary education. She is a two time winner of the Pell Award for Excellence in History. She has taught America and the World I, II, III, and Capstone.

Andrew Knutton

Alan Kornicki

Mr. Kornicki teaches ninth grade history on a team as well as tenth grade history. He earned a BA in History/Secondary Education as well as a MA in History from Rhode Island College. He also earned a Masters in Education with a concentration in Psychology and Guidance from Our Lady of the Lake College. Also, students nominated Mr. Kornicki for Who’s Who U.S History Teaching five times.

William Lyons

Mr. Lyons teaches 11th and 12th grade electives and is most passionate about his core interest in Sociology.

Julie Maccarone

Mrs. Maccarone is a graduate of Coventry High School and Providence College. She teaches grade eleven America and the World 3.

Michael Nolan

Mr. Nolan teaches 10th grade America & World History II and Modern European History. Mr. Nolan created and wrote the European History Curriculum in 2005. Mr. Nolan is a graduate of the University of Rhode and attained his Masters of Arts (history) from Providence College. He is the department's Model Legislature advisor and a state wide Rhode Island National History Day judge. Mr. Nolan has been at CHS for 11 years.

Ms. Yoest teaches sophomore history. She enjoys early American history, women's history, yoga and advisory. She graduated from Rhode Island College with a B.S in special education, B.A in history, and a M.E.D in special education.
