Dismissal

SAFETY FIRST!
Safety is always a joint effort for us –
especially during arrival and dismissal time.
If everyone follows these guidelines, arrival
and dismissal will be safe and efficient!
Grades 1 - 5

Arrival time is 8:55AM and walkers
and students who are dropped off should gather in the playground
on the Princeton Avenue side of the school. Students arriving
in cars must be dropped off on Princeton Avenue near the
crossing guard. The circular drive in front of the school is
for buses only at arrival and dismissal time.

Students arriving on school buses should
check the district website or local newspapers for pick-up
times. This information will be published in the following
local papers: The Coventry Courier, The Kent County Daily Times,
the Providence Journal and The Reminder.

Dismissal is at 3:30PM. Walkers
will be released first - Followed by bus students. Walkers and
students who are picked up exit the school by the rear doors.
Students being picked up must meet their ride on the Princeton
Avenue side of the school only. Cars are not allowed in the
circular driveway at arrival or dismissal time.

If your child is a bus student and you
occasionally wish to pick them up after school you may have them
released as a Walker. Please write a note stating that you will
be picking them up and send it in with your child. It will be
forwarded to the office. The classroom teacher will release
them with Walkers at the back doors – If you are meeting them,
you will meet them on the Princeton Avenue side of the school.

If a student is to be released early,
parents must send in a note to the teacher that will be
forwarded to the office. Parents must come into the office to
pick up the students for early dismissal. Please bring ID with
you. We will check ID’s until we get to know everyone. Thanks
for understanding this is for your child’s protection.
AM Kindergarten

Arrival for morning
Kindergarteners who walk or are dropped off is at 8:55AM.
Students should gather in the playground on the Princeton
Avenue side of the school. Students arriving in cars must be
dropped off on Princeton Avenue near the crossing guard. The

arrival and dismissal time.

Dismissal is at 11:40 AM.
Mrs. Tyree will escort students to the bus and will meet family
members of students to be picked up in the foyer.
Kindergarteners are not allowed to walk home alone.

If your child is a bus student and
occasionally you wish to pick them up at dismissal, please write
a note stating that you or a family member will be picking them
up and send it in with your child. It will be forwarded to the
office. Mrs. Tyree will meet you in the foyer at 11:40 am.

PM Kindergarten

Arrival for afternoon
Kindergarteners who are dropped off is at 12:45PM.
Students should gather in the foyer in the front of the school.

Parents of Kindergarteners arriving on
the school bus should check the district website or local
newspapers for pick-up times. This information will be published
in the following local papers: The Coventry Courier, The Kent
County Daily Times, the Providence Journal and The Reminder.

Dismissal begins at 3:25PM.
Afternoon Kindergarteners who walk or are picked up will exit
the school by the rear doors. At this time, all Kindergarteners
will be escorted to the Princeton Avenue Playground by a teacher
or teacher assistant who will ask you to sign our Walker’s
Roster each day. Kindergarteners are not allowed to walk
home alone.

Parents who wish to pick up children who
usually ride the bus must write a note stating that and send it
in to Mrs. Tyree. It will be forwarded to the office and Mrs.
Tyree will add your child’s name to the Walker’s Roster.
At dismissal, your child will be escorted to the Princeton
Avenue Playground by a teacher or teacher assistant who will ask
you to sign our Walker’s Roster.
