The 3rd and 4th graders had a presentation about the S.A.V.E program (Students Against Vandalism Everywhere) on Friday, May 30. Two 7th grade students from ASFMS came in and explained the organization and showed a slide show to the students. Click on the above link to read more about S.A.V.E.

On December 4th, Tiogue School was presented with a "Kindness Matters" Award from the Triple Your Heart Organization. Tiogue School was nominated by Marcia Liss. Her letter nominating the school is on the Triple Your Heart web site below.

Tiogue was awarded a Legislative Grant written and submitted by Arleen Carpenter, a very active parent in our school and PTA. The grant is based upon the statistical and national evidence that children are leading more sedentary lifestyles contributing to the wellness issues seen nationally in today’s schools. The grant that has been awarded in the amount of $4,000 is for the use of new playground equipment for Tiogue to help promote an active and healthy lifestyle and educate about the importance of exercise in our daily lives.
