Tiogue PTA was proud to sponsor the Reflections Art Program this school year!  Six Reflections categories were judged at our school, the state level and the national level! The categories are:  photography, visual arts, literature, musical composition, dance choreography and film/video production.  The theme was: "I Can Make a Difference by....".                                     Click here to see pictures from this year's contest.

Thank you to all who participated in the Dining to Donate program at Applebees on 11/28/07.  Tiogue School PTA has received a check for 295.12 from Applebees.

Tiogue School Store

The Tiogue School Store will be held on most Thursdays during lunch.  Items are usually priced from 5 cents to one dollar.  PTA volunteers oversee fifth grade students who are chosen to work.  This is a great opportunity for  students to get hands on experience working with money.       Some people have expressed an interest in purchasing school store coupons to give to classmates instead of bringing in food for birthday celebrations. Contact Julie Cronin at 821-8316 for more information.

Tiogue was awarded a Legislative Grant written and submitted by Arleen Carpenter, a very active parent in our school and PTA. The grant is based upon the statistical and national evidence that children are leading more sedentary lifestyles contributing to the wellness issues seen nationally in today’s schools.  The grant that has been awarded in the amount of $4,000 is for the use of new playground equipment for Tiogue to help promote an active and healthy lifestyle and educate about the importance of exercise in our daily lives.
