Parents and Guardians REMEMBER TO COMPLETE a FREE OR REDUCED APPLICATION so
your child can continue to receive breakfast and or lunch. Applications can be
found at the schools main office or by calling the food service office @
828-7473. One application can be completed for all the children in your household;
there is no need to complete a separate application for each student.
PREPAID LUNCH and BREAKFAST
Pre-paid breakfast and lunch forms are available at your
child’s main office. You can complete the form and pre-pay for as many
breakfast and lunches as you wish. Once
the form is completed, your child can submit the form in an envelope with his
or her name and homeroom number on the front to the cashier in the lunchroom.

Spinach - Super Food
for your Bones!
Calorie for calorie,
leafy green vegetables like spinach with its delicate texture and jade green
color provide more nutrients than any other food.
Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K,
vitamin A, manganese, foliate, magnesium, iron, vitamin C, vitamin B2, calcium,
potassium, and vitamin B6. It is a very good source of dietary fiber, copper,
protein, phosphorus, zinc and vitamin E. In addition, it is a good source of
omega-3 fatty acids, niacin and selenium. The vitamin K provided by
spinach-almost 200% of the Daily Value in one cup of fresh spinach leaves and
over 1000% of the Daily Value in one cup of boiled spinach (which contains
about 6 times as much spinach) is important for maintaining bone health.

In terms of
traditional nutrients, strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C and
manganese. They also qualified as a very good source of dietary fiber and
iodine as well as a good source of potassium, foliate, riboflavin, vitamin B5,
omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B6, vitamin K, magnesium, and copper.

super food for your brain because they are high in antioxidants. The vitamin C, found in strawberries, has
been shown to be very important for brain functions.
